Chunky Crockpot Applesauce

Servings: 24 Prep Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 4-5 hours


Ingredients:

· 12 honeycrisp apples, peeled and cut with an apple cutter

· juice of ½ a lemon

· 1/8 tsp seasalt

· ½ cup of water

· 1 tsp cinnamon


Directions:

1. Peel the apples. Using an apple cutter cut the apples discarding any seeds or parts of the core.


2. In a crockpot, combine apples, lemon juice, salt, water and cinnamon. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours stirring occasionally.


3. When the apples start to fall a part, applesauce is done. Applesauce could be smooth or still have chunks of apple depending on how vigorous you want to stir it at the end.
